Well if we're talking about their players, Ameobi stood out for me

Sissoko and Tiote did not stand out for me. The Newcastle player who impressed me most was Perez.

I agree that he didn't really change the game all that much. He did look dangerous though.

I've been fairly unimpressed with him until that second half.

' ZARATE was the difference when he came on'

Hang on. We were already one nil up against 11 men when he came on and failed to improve on that against 10 men when he was on the pitch.

I think you mistake style for substance.

I thought our full backs were both excellent yesterday. Didn't think any other player had a great game apart from Sissoko and Tiote

Are we all still celebrating another Barclays Premier League victory against another top 4 team?

Winning games ffs and even when we don't we kinda feel we should have, beaut.

They get to meet the player at the end of the game. It's just a popularity contest

I guess Nolan barely playing at all these days despite the injury list proves the WHO mongs wrong once again.

How they gave MotM to Carroll is beyond me.

Collins
Tomkins

... and a shout for Armadilo, scraped and scraped, 110% effort and was kicked and shoved all afternoon.

Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Not a great game but an excellent result.

The two centre halves were superb Tomkins MOM for me
Noble had a good game good to see him getting some form back and just like the EVERTON game ZARATE was the difference when he came on
If he doesn't start Tuesday it'll be criminal
Carroll was awful again as a lone striker and although he definitely had more influence when zarate came on can't wait for Valencia or sakho to come back so we can start playing some football again

Getting quite worried. We won again, is something bad gonna happen? I'm a stranger in this place.

Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread 1-0 FT
Newcastle looked lively for the first fifteen minutes, the rest of the first half was a non event.
The second half we were the better side and deserved the three points.
We need Song back bossing the midfield.A great result considering.

I notice Fordstar/Rodfarts posted only twice on this thread.

"Can't see us winning this today."

"Noble shit again today."

What a cunt.

Comma

I like Carroll. I want him to come good. I just haven't seen it yet.

Also I hardly think comparing him to Carlton cole is a good enough reason to pay him a significant wage.

That would be like comparing Blair to Miliband.
